How it all started
"Back in 12,007 I was introduced to the game 'RuneScape'. I think you might have heard of it, it's an online MMORPG. In the Yotube community there was something called "RuneScape Music Video", I got really interested and wanted to try it out and then it started, I opened Windows Movie Maker and started creating. It was the best feeling seeing the end result after putting so much work in it. I've always had a creative mind, I realized that editing showed off my creativity, so I kept trying and making new video's. Back then in, there was a huge community and making RS video's made us come together."
"After a few years I became really good with the software programs I was using. So I wanted to step it up a notch, so I made an entirely new YouTube channel called "Techrodd". I started uploading software tutorials and other visual video's along with gaming montages. I really liked doing it, I got to research about stuff that interests me, I got the chance to show off my creativity and ideas and I help people in the process. It was an amazing experience. You might wonder why am I so interested in uploading tutorials? Well, I got an answer for that. I am very good with technology and I am somewhat of the problem-solving-guy in the family and neighborhood. Although my English needs some work, I know I can give a lot of information about a subject that is interesting to me. Thus I try to improve my English every day, and my knowledge of all the software programs so I can assist others in doing the same."
"Most tutorial videos back in the day weren't really focused on beginners, or quality or tutoring followers, just the result. And there weren't many of them. Searching tutorials online was a real hassle back then. I tried getting help from more experienced people and tried to get familiar with the programs by experimenting every day. I have peaked the interest of many followers, many have started producing, some even got a job because of it."
"Now I've quit the freelancing business along with the YT channel. I lost interest in producing graphics and freelancing wasn't really paying well. Many more channels were created in the last few years and even learning platforms like Skillshare popped up, which lowered my motivation to create new tutorials. The possibility to compete with learning platforms or rising Youtube creators was impossible. So now I just make video's for fun and try to help followers who are still loyal. Thank you for taking your time to read this. I really appreciate it!"
